Yesterday, I attended a highly informative and engaging seminar titled "Utilities on Power Domain", where the keynote speaker was Briti Bhoumik Ma'am. The session covered a wide range of topics such as how electricity bills are calculated, how electric power is generated and distributed, how transformers handle load, and the role and future of smart meters.
ReplyDeleteMa'am explained in detail how electricity is supplied to a locality, the internal workings of smart meters, and how these technologies are making our energy usage more efficient and transparent. Her presentation included real-life examples that made complex topics easy to understand.
Our professor, Shyam K. Mondal Sir, was also present. After the session, he explained how the power domain is related to Computer Science, and how we, as CS students, can build a career in this field. He gave us insight into the skills we might need and the opportunities ahead.
Personally, I found the seminar very beneficial and inspiring. It gave me a clearer understanding of the power sector and its connection to our studies. I hope to attend more such sessions that provide practical knowledge beyond the classroom.
The Seminar on the topic, " UTILITIES IN POWER DOMAIN ", organised by CCTP-WB-JOB where the speaker was Mrs. Briti Bhowmick ma'am, was an impactful session.
ReplyDeleteIt was an wonderful session. It was complete a new domain for us but explained in such a wonderful and awesome way that we were so excited and got very much interested to know more about it. It was a privilege to attend this wonderful and informative session. We learned many new things like power grid, smart meter, NIC card etc and also learned that we have to be aware of this power domain and it's facilities and usage. In total, in the end it was a "POWER" - packed session.
